How important is the foam in cleaning products?

If a detergent produces a lot of foam means that it has more cleaning power? The answer is no, since the foam is not the one that cleans your clothes and much less the one that removes the stains, this is only an effect produced by an agent as the salt or sodium chloride having the detergent. However, it will not affect the cleaning of your clothes. In fact, the most modern detergents or more efficiently are designed to produce a lower amount of foam, since it can damage, buffer and generate bad smell or humidity in your washing machine.

As soon as less foam you have to eliminate, water consumption will be less.
